MAKING MOVIES 4 PEACE

Our Goals and Objectives

Peace Film Initiative was founded with the objective of empowering the audiovisual sector of the developing regions, and  especially communities in conflict zones.

We aim to equip our beneficiaries with the knowledge and tools to effectively deliver their stories, their unique issues and predicaments to the world outside their sphere; and to use film as an instrument to educate their own communities; to open doors for dialogue; and promote peace and coexistence.

Our programs include:

TRAINING:  Hands-on training in all areas of filmmaking, including screenplay writing, producing and production management, directing, script supervising, photography, cinematography/videography, and all aspects of picture and sound design and editing.

SUPPORT:
Provide filmmakers support with funds and grant allocation, equipment, and consultation in all stages of production; assist in distribution and festival submission of completed projects.

SCREENINGS:

Weekly film screenings in our Cinema Cafe accompanied by panel discussions and Q & A sessions with filmmakers.

CINEMA ON WHEELS:
screenings in refugee/IDP camps, orphanages, remote villages, and public schools with our mobile cinema.

FILM FESTIVAL:

Our annual international peace film festival brings regional and world filmmakers together.
